Entering the real estate industry in 1971 specialized in land development, site selection and acquisition and overall brokerage for clients. Taro brings more than three decades of retail management experience to commercial real estate industry. Taro started his retail career as a store manager for various high end audio-video stores in Houston and later went on to manage his own high-end retail and custom audio video store for more than 10 years. His entry in the real estate industry started first as a new homebuilder’s sales counselor. This experience gave him in-depth knowledge of home building industry and various aspect of home buying process. He took that experience to a new level to serve his clients better as a real estate broker and then entered into commercial real estate industry.
“Informed Decisions” has been the core principle of Taro’s life philosophy. He truly believes that all his clients need to be well informed about each and every step of the transaction thus avoiding any future disappointments and creating only delighted clients who value his expertise, knowledge and highest level of integrity and professionalism they have come to expect from him. He believes he can only serve his clients to his fullest potential if he is up-to-date on the industry changes and new opportunities. To best assist his investment clients he is working toward the CCIM and CPM designations.
Taro lives with his wife of 25 years, Sulekha Chellaram and is father of two boys. He is a member of CCIM national and local chapters, IREM-Houston, as well as the National, Texas and Houston Association of Realtors. He volunteers for the benefit of the youth of Texas annually through Committee participation at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a major multimillion dollar educational program supporting Texas young people.
